Dorrie Rush
Dorrie Rush Dorrie is the Marketing Director, Accessible Technology at Lighthouse International. She joined the Lighthouse in 2001 as a Major Gifts Officer and became Director of Major Gifts in 2003 following a 20 year career in the fashion industry. Her transition into non-profit fundraising at the Lighthouse, sparked by personal interest and commitment to the mission, was fueled by her strength in communications and skills in relationship building. In 2007, she turned her focus from fund-raising to accessible technology, particularly universal access, a topic of great and growing interest to everyone. Today, Dorrie speaks, writes and consults on accessible technology and she oversees the Information & Resource Service that provides answers to a wide array of questions from around the country and the world. She is proud to represent the Lighthouse and all it can do to help people, who like her, live and function well with impaired vision. She has appeared on CBS, Fox and NBC News programs and authors “Dorrie’s Sight,” a blog at www.dorriessight.blogspot.com.

Jaydan Mitchell
Jaydan Mitchell Jaydan joined Lighthouse International in 2007 and is the senior member and coordinator of the Information & Resource Service. In his time with the Lighthouse, Jaydan has overseen several projects, including the massive update of the organization’s Help Near You system. He is responsible for the (re)development of his team’s resource publications, to which he has added at least five new titles. In 2010, the Lighthouse recognized Jaydan with an award for excellence in customer service. Although a proud New Yorker, he originally hails from the great state of Arkansas. He holds his Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, in French.

Marie Gilles
Marie Gilles Marie joined Lighthouse’s Information & Resource team in 2007. Prior to her tenure at the Lighthouse, Marie worked for 35 years as an advanced practice registered nurse in different specialties and management. She holds a master’s degree in nursing/nursing education, and remains an active member of several professional organizations. Marie is also a member of the Lighthouse Vocal Ensemble. In 2010, she was featured in the Lighthouse Voices of Hope series.
