Volunteer

Lighthouse International is always recruiting for a variety of volunteer opportunities, right now we are most in need of volunteers for the SUMMER YOUTH TRANSITION PROGRAM 2008.

This program supports teenagers 14 - 18 years of age who are visually impaired. The participants are provided with opportunities for personal growth and increased self sufficiency with daytime activities that refine independent living skills, and evening activities that provide social and recreational interaction with their sighted peers. This year's program will take place from July 6 through August 1, 2008. There are two programs in our Summer Youth Transition Program, the Special Needs Program and The Columbia Program. The Columbia Program includes a daytime and an evening session.
