NEW YORK POST AND LIGHTHOUSE INTERNATIONALTO LAUNCH PUBLIC SERVICE CAMPAIGNTO PROTECT NEW YORKERS' VISION

New York, NY (July 17, 2009) -- The New York Post and Lighthouse International, New York's non-profit leader in vision healthcare, are teaming up for a vision health public service campaign seeking to educate Post readers about the need for long-term eye care.

The campaign titled "We Care about Your Eyes -- Do You?" will launch on July 20th and will run for approximately 4 weeks with a series of in-paper and online ads.

As part of the promotion, the first 100 people to call Lighthouse International and site the ad will receive a free vision exam from the experts at Lighthouse's new VisionMax center. VisionMax offers vision health care, including complete vision exams, prescriptions, contact lenses, designer frames and sunglasses as well as prevention and educational materials.

"By 2015, one million New Yorkers (45 year and older) are expected to experience vision loss," said Tina Georgeou, Chief Marketing Officer at Lighthouse International. "We are proud to partner with The Post to help alert New Yorkers to this danger and let them know the steps they can take to avert this preventable tragedy. The sooner vision problems are detected the better they can be treated."

"We're excited that our partnership with Lighthouse International will provide an invaluable community service for New Yorkers," said Jennifer Jehn, SVP of Marketing for the New York Post.

As part of the partnership, Lighthouse International will provide information about New York Post subscriptions to thousands of participants at its events throughout the year.
